Mixed Use Fitzrovia Scheme Submitted for Town Planning Consent
Proposals designed by G&P for the partial reconstruction, extension and comprehensive refurbishment of 45-46 Berners Street in Fitzrovia have been submitted to City of Westminster for Town Planning Consent. The circa 2,400sqm office and retail project for the Berners-Allsopp Estate involves demolition and replacement of front and rear facades, a four storey rear extension and two storey roof extension and creation of a flexible retail/ restaurant/ showroom on the lower two levels. Works will include ‘Cat A’ fit out of the office space, introduction of new comfort cooling with exposed services with remodelled entrance hall/ reception, common areas and toilets. The circa 500sqm flexible retail unit will be refurbished ‘shell & core’ with flexibility for use as a showroom or restaurant. A decision from City of Westminster on the planning application is expected in early August 2018.
