Garnett+Partners have been instructed on two new high quality residential projects in Knightsbridge close to Harrods Department Store. High Point Estates Ltd have commissioned G+P to prepare designs for redevelopment of 3-7 Lancelot Place to provide three new townhouses each around 3,800sqft arranged over six stories. Meanwhile The Cadogan Estate have appointed G+P on a luxury refurbishment of a 4,500sqft townhouse in Herbert Crescent. Both projects will involve high quality finishes and bespoke joinery, and will be aimed at the international occupier market.

Whole Foods Market have appointed Garnett+Partners LLP as lead designers on the fast track fit out of their flagship West End department store. The project, located close to Piccadilly Circus, comprises the fitting out of some 20,000sqft of prime retail floor area. The store will be arranged as series of specialist food and beverage counters based on the ‘farmer’s market’ concept developed successfully by Wholefoods across the United States, and will include restaurant and holistic treatment area. G+P has been employed as lead designer on the £3.5M project which is expected to be completed in April 2012.

The Bedford Estates £5million project for rejuvenation of has been shortlisted as finalist at New London Awards 2012. The aim of the scheme by architects Garnett+Partners LLP has been to create something resembling a village high street, based around ta new flagship office/restaurant building on the site of the former Bloomsbury petrol station. The project, also includes refurbishment of a retail/residential block dating from the 1920s, bringing a cohesive design approach to the store street shopfronts and more rational flat arrangements above them. Finally, the Store Street improvements also include a substantial upgrade of the outside appearances, paving and public realm.

Aviva Investors have appointed Garnett+Partners LLP as architects on refurbishment of 55 Strand, London WC2. The project will involve refurbishment of a commercial office building with a floor area of some 28,000sqft. The building dates from the 1930s with interesting historic features dating from the art deco period which will be retained to add character to the office accommodation. The scheme will involve rebranding of the reception and common areas, and remodelling of front and rear elevations. Work on the £3.5M project is expected to commence in Autumn 2011.

Richmond Town Centre scheme commences on site

Dutch pension fund Wereldhave’s £11.5M project for redevelopment of 1-5 Lower George Street, Richmond has commenced on site. The mixed office / retail scheme received planning consent in September 2009 comprises 38,000sqft of speculative office accommodation above 24,000 sqft of retail space which has been pre-let to Wholefoods Market. Garnett+Partners LLP have developed the design since inception and are architects and lead design consultant. Project Managers are Drivers Jonas Deloitte and the construction team is led by BAM. The scheme is scheduled for completion in August 2012.

Sarasin & Partners appoints G+P as lead designers

Sarasin & Partners LLP, the London-based investment management firm, has appointed Garnett+Partners LLP as lead designers on the fit out of their offices at Juxon House, St Paul’s Churchyard. The firm employs over 170 people and manages approximately £9.8 billion. Founded in 1841, Bank Sarasin is one of Switzerland’s leading private banking institutions. The Sarasin group - headquartered in Basel, Switzerland - employs around 1,600 staff. In addition to its headquarters in Basel, the Bank has further offices in Geneva, Lugano and Zurich. Internationally, the Sarasin group has offices in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The project will involve refurbishment and fit out of the Lower Ground, 4th and 5th floors, in all around 35,000sqft of prime offices and is expected to be completed in four phases.

Practice appointed on multi unit residential refurbishment scheme, Sloane Square, London The Cadogan Estate have appointed Garnett+Partners LLP as architects on their multi-unit residential scheme, close to Sloane Square, London. The project will involve refurbishment of four period apartment buildings with a combined floor area of approximately 14,000sqft. The buildings have many interesting historic features dating from the ‘Arts and Crafts’ period which will be retained to add character to the high quality self-contained residential accommodation. Work on site is expected to commence on site in Summer 2011.
